This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through mapstowing.com (the “Site”), by phone, by email, and while providing towing or roadside assistance services. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

• Identifiers and contact information, such as your name, phone number, email address, and billing contact information.
• Service-request information, such as vehicle details, requested service, pickup and destination details, and the location information you choose to provide, which may be precise.
• Commercial and transaction information, such as services requested or purchased, payment status, and related records. Payment-card information may be processed directly by a payment provider and may not be stored by us.
• Communications, including messages, call details, feedback, and any other information you provide when you contact us.
• Internet or device information, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and date and time of access.

Please do not send sensitive information that is not necessary for us to respond to or complete your service request.

We collect personal information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device when you use the Site, and from service providers or towing and dispatch partners that help us complete your request.

We may use personal information to:

• Respond to, coordinate, and complete towing and roadside assistance requests.
• Communicate with you about your request, arrival updates, questions, and customer support.
• Provide estimates, process payments, maintain business records, and resolve disputes.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Site and our services.
• Detect or prevent fraud, misuse, safety issues, and other unauthorized activity.
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our agreements.

We may disclose personal information as reasonably necessary to:

• Towing operators, dispatchers, roadside assistance providers, and contractors involved in completing your service request.
• Vendors that provide website hosting, communications, information technology, payment processing, security, and other business-support services.
• Professional advisers, insurers, law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and property.
• A buyer, successor, or other party involved in a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of our business.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If these practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any choices required by law.

The Site and its hosting providers may use cookies, server logs, and similar technologies that are necessary to operate, secure, and understand use of the Site. Your browser may also connect to third parties that provide website resources, and third-party links may collect information when you choose to visit them.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Because there is no uniform industry response to browser “Do Not Track” signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. We do not currently use Site data for cross-site behavioral advertising. To the extent required by applicable law, we will honor legally recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. The retention period depends on factors such as the length of our relationship with you, the time needed to complete a service request, accounting and recordkeeping requirements, safety and fraud-prevention needs, applicable limitation periods, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or deidentify it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

California law may give residents certain rights, subject to the law's scope, exceptions, and verification requirements. These may include the right to know and access personal information, request deletion, request correction, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and verification of the consumer's identity. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Because we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California privacy law, we do not currently provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

The Site and our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy on this page, update the “Last Updated” date, and provide any additional notice required by applicable law when changes are material.
